Chamonix Accommodation
The diversity of accommodation available in Chamonix reflects the sheer variety of the seasonal population. Passionate devotees of the whole gamut of outdoor sports flock to Chamonix throughout the year swelling the full-time population of around 10,000 to almost ten times that number.
To cater for the huge number of tourists, an array of lodgings from the uber-luxe to the cheap-and-cheerful is available throughout the valley.
If you’re looking for a quieter stay, the smaller satellite towns (Argentière, Les Houches and Vallorcine) are a great option.
Budget Accommodation
The Park Hotel Suisse offers stunning views over the Chamonix valley

Hotel de L’Arve is another 3* option in the centre of Chamonix. It’s neat, clean and very reasonably priced. Altogether an excellent choice for access to the slope, access to the après and a good night’s sleep.
Top End Accommodation
The Hameau Albert Premier is a 5* oasis complete with spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and a fine restaurant serving delicious food inspired by the surroundings (and washed down with your choice of 19,000 bottles of wine!).The views are phenomenal and the rooms exude high end simple elegance. On top of the rooms in the main building, vacationers can also choose to stay in the (relatively) newly built ‘La Ferme’, in two independent chalets or in the duplex apartment on site.
Hotel Mont Blanc is a fabulous 100 year old building right in the centre of Chamonix. It has just been refurbished from top to bottom and looks absolutely stunning. Catered and self-catering chalets abound in Chamonix and its surrounds, and again the options range from unbelievably luxurious (www.hipchalets.com) to the very reasonable (www.snostation.com).
