France has a huge number of rivers suitable for canoeing, kayaking and rafting. Whilst the French Alps is the hot-spot for whitewater sports, the Pyrenees and the Massif Central offer river runners great early summer descents. The Jura region also offers some fine paddling with snow melt or rainfall. And, don’t forget about the wonderful rivers of Corsica.
